A-Z Bookish Survey Tag

I just finished watching YA BookwormBlogger‘s A-Z Bookish Survey video and really enjoyed it so I decided to give it a go myself and put it up on here. This was originally created by Jamie over at Perpetual Page Turner.

NOTE: Sorry I haven’t been blogging lately but I’ve not been reading this month and I haven’t had much drive to write any blog posts for you. I am trying to get back into a pattern of posting so hopefully I’ll be more active on here soon.

Author You’ve Read the Most Books By:

Rachel Caine and J.K. Rowling – Read 11 books each

Best Sequel Ever:

51Jv4dUE8rL

Bitterblue by  Kristin Cashore

Foregoing my usual and predictable answer I’m not going to choose any of the Harry Potter books. Instead I’m going to choose Bitterblue by Kristin Cashore

Currently Reading:

City of Glass

City of Glass by Cassandra Clare

I’ve been saying that I’ll finish reading the series by the end of the year, I’ve found myself with little time left…

Drink of Choice While Reading:

A piping hot cuppa 🙂

E-reader or Physical Book?

Physical book all the way. I read faster than I do when it is a E-book, I’m not sure why. I just like the feel of a book in my hands and being able to see how far into the book I am instead of looking at a number at the bottom of the screen.

Fictional Character You Probably Would Have Actually Dated In High School:

I’m not sure … maybe Harry Potter, Sirius Black (if he were my age or a little older). Basically any of the Marauders.

Glad You Gave This Book a Chance:

Simon Vs

Simon Vs The Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli

Hidden Gem Book:

Poison Study

Poison Study by Maria V. Snyder

Important Moment in your Reading Life:

I have a list: Harry Potter, Twilight, Mortal Instruments, Dragon Ball Z. I could name more.

Just Finished:

Binge

Binge by Tyler Oakley

Kinds of Books You Won’t Read:

Horror books. I can’t stand being scared and it will keep me up all night for weeks. I do want to try branching out a little bit though so it might be something I try but I won’t go out of my way to read them.

Longest Book You’ve Read:

Hp 5

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by J.K. Rowling

No surprise here.

Major book hangover because of:

The Martian UK Cover

The Martian by Andy Weir

Number of Bookcases You Own:

Four in my Bedroom and one in the sitting room which isn’t really mine but it has some of my books. I also store them under my bed so does that count as six? I don’t know.

One Book You Have Read Multiple Times:

The Host

The Host by Stephenie Meyer

Preferred Place To Read:

My bed.

Quote That Inspires You/Gives You All the Feels From a Book You’ve Read:

“Words are, in my not-so-humble opinion, our most inexhaustible source of magic. Capable of both inflicting injury, and remedying it.” – Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by J.K. Rowling

I’m thinking of having this tattooed on my arm without the “… in my not-so-humble opinion …” part in it.

Reading Regret:

Letting other peoples opinions on Twilight effect me while reading it for the first time. I hated that I sat in the corner with my book and tried to keep the cover hidden so they wouldn’t see what I was reading. (I was in High School and at a sleepover)

Series You Started And Need To Finish(all books are out in series):

Again I have several.

  • The Morganville Vampires
  • House of Night
  • Vampire Academy
  • Percy Jackson
  • Mistborn

Three of your All-Time Favourite Books:

The Host by Stephenie Meyer

Poison Study by Maria V. Snyder

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban by J.K. Rowling

Unapologetic Fangirl For:

HarryPotter_logo_2009.gif

Very Excited For This Release More Than All The Others:

Night Study UK Cover

Night Study (Soulfinders #2) by Maria V. Snyder

Worst Bookish Habit:

Leaving my books in places where people put their mugs on top of them. I’ve had to wipe some of my covers several times because there was a brown sticky tea stain on it. (thank goodness it wiped off of The Final Empire!)

X Marks The Spot: Start at the top left of your shelf and pick the 27th book:

ADSOM UK

A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab

Go vote for it on Goodreads for best Fantasy book of 2015!

(Technically I cheated and missed a shelf out because my top shelf is full of manga and it would have been a random volume of Dragon Ball Z so I used the shelf above and below it instead. I have overflow books on top of my bookshelf…)

Your Latest Book purchase:

carry on

Carry On by Rainbow Rowell

ZZZ-snatcher book (last book that kept you up WAY late):

The Martian UK Cover

The Martian by Andy Weir

So I had a lot of fun doing this, I might try doing this again next year if I remember, if you give it a try then please send me a link so I can see your answers too 🙂 Don’t forget to check out the original links for this above.

Until next time,

Tori x
